Neck, Shoulder & Arm Pain
Neck, shoulder, and arm pain can stem from various causes, and both Dr. Eric and Dr. Ann have extensive experience in identifying the primary issue—whether it's a disc herniation, bulge, degeneration, or muscle strain.
A herniated or bulging disc in the cervical spine can irritate spinal nerves, leading to intense neck or arm pain, often accompanied by numbness, tingling, or throbbing. Disc degeneration causes milder nerve irritation, often presenting as stiffness, grinding, or soreness, but early treatment is key to preventing worsening pain.
Muscle strains, commonly caused by trauma (e.g., whiplash) or repetitive strain (e.g., sitting at a computer or poor neck support while sleeping), are also common.
Our approach starts with a detailed case history and a thorough chiropractic exam to determine the exact cause. We may use X-rays to gather more information. If chiropractic care is appropriate, we use gentle adjustments to realign the spine and reduce symptoms, allowing the healing process to begin.
